In Gia Lai Province, the tourism industry has gradually affirmed its role as a spearhead economic sector, contributing to the provincial socio-economic development. Among them, 12 projects have either been put into operation or been partially operational, while the remaining projects are urgently completing investment procedures and commencing construction in order to be put into operation soon to serve the provincial tourism sector. Although the tourism sector in general and tourism projects in NEZ still face many challenges, once operational, these projects will significantly contribute to the development of Gia Lai's tourism sector. With the following projects: Trung Luong Tourism Area, Ky Co – Nhon Ly Tourism Area, FLC Hotel – Golf Course Complex... attracting millions of visitors annually and contributing significantly to the province's tourism revenue; Maia Quy Nhon Beach Resort Project covering 34.2 hectares in Cat Tien Town with a total investment of USD 65 million; Thien Hung Zen Monastery Project with the Ohana Hotel Complex, partially operational on an area of 66.865 hectares in Cat Tien Town, with a total registered investment of VND 495 billion; Allia Resort Tourism Area covering approximately 48.5 hectares with an investment of VND 790 billion on the eastern slope of Phuong Mai Mountain in Quy Nhon Dong Ward, already operating the Bai Rang Camping Area…; The Complex of Tourism, History, Ecology, and Spirituality at Linh Phong Pagoda is completing related content and management tasks to welcome a large number of spiritual tourists; Hon Kho Tourist Project offering various attractive scuba diving experiences...
Ms. Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of Gia Lai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, affirmed that Gia Lai Province has great potential and advantages with its “golden forests and silver seas”, along with a synchronous transport system, including seaports, airports, railway stations, bus stations, highways, and border gates… which create favorable conditions for regional connectivity, market expansion, and development of diverse, in-depth tourism products. Especially Nhon Hoi Economic Zone (NEZ) with many promising tourism - service projects, there is a great hope for a strong connection to the Central Highlands... This presents an opportunity for Gia Lai tourism to rise and become a spearhead economic sector, contributing to the realization of the goal of making the province a new growth pole in the region.
